  • Hodgson v. The City of New York, et al.

The firm represented a manufacturer of an NYPD patrol vessel in a personal injury lawsuit commenced by a police officer who fell into a lower compartment while in the line of duty. The claims against our client were based on products liability and alleged design defects in the placement of the wheel and overhead radio in relation to the stairway. The plaintiff ultimately agreed to discontinue the claims against our client without any settlement payment after we established that another part was liable.

  • Worker's Fund Insurance Company v. Private Communications Strategies, LLC

The firm represented the insurer in a coverage dispute in New Jersey concerning a multi-million dollar claim under an ocean marine cargo policy for the loss of wireless communications devices that were stolen while being transported from New Jersey to Kentucky by truck.

  • Criminal Investigation - Accounting Practices

Representation of a subject in an investigation conducted by the Manhattan District Attorney's office and the U.S. Attorney's office for the Eastern District of New York concerning accounting practices at a construction company. Resulted in no charges against our client.

  • Hedge Fund - AXE Investigation

Successful defense of a prominent hedge fund in connection with an AXE investigation of alleged misrepresentations and the alleged failure to disclose material facts to investors. We prepared a Wells Submission which resulted in decision by the AXE to drop the investigation.
